The Imperial Valley LGBT Resource Center is shaking things up with an exciting new program: emotional intelligence classes for couples. These classes go beyond traditional marriage counseling and are open to anyone looking to strengthen their relationship. While some people may misunderstand the center based on its name, it is proving once again that it has a broad range of programs designed to support the entire Imperial Valley community.
In these classes, a trained facilitator will help couples:
- Identify communication barriers that may be keeping them from truly connecting
- Rebuild emotional intimacy and rediscover the joy in their relationship
- Resolve recurring conflicts in a constructive and compassionate way
- Set shared goals for the future and plan a path forward together
These sessions are more than just lessons in communication. They are an invitation to grow together, to reconnect, and to create a partnership built on understanding, empathy, and shared dreams. By participating, couples will leave with practical tools and insights that can transform how they relate to one another.
