Supporting Youth Through Anger Management
The Imperial Valley LGBT Resource Center continues offering youth anger management services for individuals under eighteen years old. The program supports participants in learning how to manage anger in healthy and constructive ways while building stronger emotional awareness.
A Comprehensive Approach
The program includes group sessions, individual counseling, and skill based exercises. This structure allows youth to gain practical tools for emotional regulation, communication, and positive decision making. Sessions are led by experienced professionals including CAMF, Certified Anger Management Facilitators; CDVF, Certified Domestic Violence Facilitators; and CEIC, Certified Emotional Intelligence Coaches.
Measuring Emotional Growth
Participants complete the EQ i YV Emotional Quotient Inventory Youth Version before and after the program. This validated assessment measures areas such as impulse control, stress management, and interpersonal skills. Results help tailor individualized support and track emotional growth over time.

The facilitators really listened and helped me see things from a different perspective. I feel calmer and more in control now than I ever have before.
I never thought I could control my anger, but the youth anger management program at the Imperial Valley LGBT Resource Center changed that. The group sessions and individual counseling helped me understand my emotions and gave me tools I use every day.
The facilitators have been great! It has truly made a difference in how my child interacts with others. They are patient, caring, and make connections that make a real difference. I highly recommend this for any child that is having difficulties at home and/or school.
